PROJECT DEFINITION The project; according to Mr. Kigoye Godfrey the senior consultant officer, he quoted that “there are many agricultural projects at KatendeHarambeRrural-Urban Training Centre” among which he described how to start a poultry and piggery firm business that will have to be successful in the business community. 3.2 JUSTIFICATION OF THE PROJECT There is an increasing demand for poultry meat, eggs and pork not only in Uganda butalso in the great Lakes region because of general improvement of standard of living ofthe people. Currently there is a lot of export of eggs from Uganda to Sudan, Rwanda andRepublic of Congo. Unfortunately official export figure could not be easily obtained.
